Our breeding program is built on careful selection, health testing, and responsible ownership. To reflect this commitment, we proudly offer the following 2-Year Health Guarantee for every puppy we place.
What This Guarantee Covers
Iron Shield Corsos guarantees that your puppy will be free from life-threatening hereditary genetic diseases for a period of two (2) years from the puppy’s date of birth.
This guarantee specifically covers the following genetic conditions, when diagnosed by a licensed veterinarian:
Hip Dysplasia (moderate to severe, confirmed by OFA or PennHIP)
Elbow Dysplasia
Serious congenital heart defects
Genetic neurological disorders that severely affect quality of life
Inherited skeletal defects that cause pain, impaired mobility, or require surgical intervention
If a covered condition is diagnosed within the guarantee period, Iron Shield Corsos will, upon verification, offer:
A replacement puppy of equal value (when available), or
A partial refund at the breeder’s discretion
Veterinary documentation and diagnostic imaging from a qualified professional are required.
Conditions NOT Covered by This Guarantee
While we stand behind our breeding program, not all health issues are genetic or within a breeder’s control. This guarantee does not cover the following:
Illnesses caused by viruses, bacteria, or parasites, including but not limited to:
Parvovirus
Distemper
Kennel cough
Giardia
Worm infestations
Environmental or lifestyle-related conditions, including:
Improper nutrition
Overfeeding or rapid growth
Excessive exercise or forced activity during growth
Injury or trauma
Allergies or skin sensitivities
Minor conditions that do not impact quality of life
Behavioral issues
Cosmetic or non-debilitating traits, including:
Ear set
Bite alignment changes
Size or color variations
Any condition resulting from neglect, abuse, or failure to provide proper veterinary care
Buyer Responsibilities
To maintain this guarantee, the buyer agrees to:
Provide routine veterinary care, vaccinations, and parasite prevention
Feed a high-quality, large-breed appropriate diet
Avoid excessive exercise or stress during the puppy’s growth phase
Notify Iron Shield Corsos promptly if a serious health issue arises
Provide all required veterinary documentation upon request
Failure to meet these responsibilities may void the guarantee.
Additional Terms
This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable
No veterinary bills, transportation costs, or additional expenses will be covered
Iron Shield Corsos reserves the right to require a second veterinary opinion
This guarantee is void if the dog is sold, rehomed, or surrendered without breeder notification
